Unlike many other people, I have experienced most of my "bullying" during my college years. I put bullying in quotations because the outcome ended up being a much different experience. An experience I am thankful for, every day.
Thanks for showing me how to adequately deal with childish behavior since I've never seen so many 18-22-year-olds act that way. Thanks for continuously finding the time out of your day to torment me because, like the infamous Shakespeare once said, “Love me or hate me, both are in my favor...If you love me, I'll always be in your heart...If you hate me, I'll always be in your mind.” Thank you for still being concerned about me even miles away and keeping in touch. I also want to take this time to thank you for making me the person I am today.
Without you, I wouldn't be as successful, strong and motivated as I am right now. Thanks for continuously trying to knock me down because all that taught me was how to get up faster and stronger -- get knocked down nine times, stand up 10. Without you, I wouldn't be going to my dream university. Thank you for allowing me to meet and surround myself with some of the most motivated beings our age. It's been a pleasure being able to meet life long friends and the little sister I always dreamed of having. Thanks for bringing me to my supportive boyfriend. Thanks for showing me that blood is thicker than water. You have given me the confidence to adhere to any obstacle I face in life.
You taught me how to persevere. Without you, I wouldn't be so passionate. I probably wouldn't fight for the things I want in life. Without you, I wouldn't be fulfilling my dreams and getting one step closer to them every day. Sometimes you have to let go of the people who bring you down. Although I have let you go, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to thrive and find true happiness. I wish you to find the things I have found in life. I will always be grateful for the successes you have brought me.
