Mom and Dad,
Thank you. Thank you for everything. From your endless support, to the laughter and joy you bring to my life every day. Yes, we fight, but who doesn’t? I have never seen parents that have been so accepting toward their child. Thank you for taking me to countless doctor appointments when I am not feeling well, and life long memories of vacations that I will never forget. I appreciate you guys more than you will ever understand. I would not be anywhere near the person I am today without your support and encouragement. I see the way you two raise my brother, and I couldn’t ask for anyone better to do so. As college soon approaches, and I soon will be leaving, I just want you to know I am never gone. I will be back (probably every weekend for my laundry.) I sit up at night sometimes, pondering about how I will even get through a day to day basis without my parents being right by my side. I know you will just be a phone call away, but it is not nearly the same as having you right outside of my door. Sooner than later we are both going to have to accept the fact that I am growing up (Sorry Dad.) But even as I grow up, and no longer need you to pay my bills and buy my food (bet you guys can’t wait for that), I will always need your support and love. I would like to thank you for being the best role models I could ever ask for. You are both the bravest people I have ever met. You never showed me your fear through every family tragedy we have had. You were both the first parents to volunteer to be the coaches for the countless softball and soccer teams. Thank you for driving to every softball game, and supporting the team (even if I wasn’t playing.) Thank you for going out at 9:30 to get me movie theatre popcorn, just because I am craving it. Thank you for scratching my back after a long day. Thank you for giving me the support I needed during a hard time. Thank you for being the friends I needed while my other friends were not there for me. Thank you for not lying to me. Yes, now I know that I am a horrible singer, she is a bad friend, and that those shoes are ugly. Thank you for being there when I had my first breakup. Thank you for being accepting when I brought a new boy home, who would soon turn into my new boyfriend (and I know you will be there if this one does not work out.) Thank you for showing me what true love is. Between watching Dad fall more in love with Mom everyday, to the love and affection you show my brother and me. Thank you for making sure I take my medicine and my vitamin every morning. Thank you for getting my lunch together every morning for school, and giving me a ride to and from. I will never be able to put into words how much I appreciate, and love you guys, but I guess this is worth a shot.
I love you forever,
Taylor Mae
