A Thank You To My Long-Distance Best Friends

Dear long distance best friends,

Thank you. I couldn't imagine better best friends. Even though we are miles apart I feel closer to you now than I ever have. College is a formative time in everyone's life and can sometimes it can be hard to stay in touch but I am lucky enough to have stayed best friends with you guys.

Early morning texts saying "Happy Thursday" or "Did you make it home last night" even when we aren't together checking in on each other and caring about each other is something that I am forever thankful for.

We were so close in high school and it was my fear that when we all went our separate ways for college we would drift apart but I am lucky enough to say that though we have distance against us we have continued to be closer than ever.

My face lights up when I see a message in our group message or when we schedule Skype dates and laugh about all of our old memories and catch each other up on ones that we are making in college.

Though it is hard to make memories without you guys I know that you are loving your time at college as much as I am loving mine. I feel so lucky that when we come home on breaks it seems like nothing has changed and we pick up right where we left it.

I am can’t thank you enough for being my best friends. I can’t wait to make more memories with you both as time goes on and for you to be some of my future bridesmaids.
