A Thank You To My Boyfriend

This is just a little thank you to the man that does a lot for me.

A Thank You To My Boyfriend

To my boyfriend,

As cheesy as it may sound, you are my best friend. It is funny how fast we have learned each others habits and patterns, and how you know what I am thinking (even if it annoys me sometimes). You have been there for the good times, the sad times, the stressful times. You have been there for me when I felt vulnerable and weak, and reassured me that I am strong and capable. For not being together long, we have been through a lot together, and this is just a thank you for that.

Thank you for memorizing how I drink my coffee, and bringing me snacks at work. For spending hours with me in silence while I ponder what to write about in these articles, and never complaining. Thank you for having patience with me while I am stressed out during the week of midterms and for comforting me the best you can during those times. Thank you for not laughing at me when I cry during movies, and always trying to make me smile so I don't stay in my gloomy bubble for hours afterwards. Thank you for respecting my independence, and accepting me for the woman that I am and the goals that I have. I don't think you understand how incredibly happy it makes me that you want to be a power couple, instead of just being a powerful man. Thank you for letting me vent to you when I need to, and for taking my thoughts into consideration instead of pushing them to the side. Most importantly, thank you for dreaming big with me. I have no doubt in my mind that we will have some incredible adventures together.

I am going to keep it short and sweet by saying I am so excited for a future together. Only god knows what is next for the both of us, but I am incredibly excited to do life with you. I love you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
