Best friends are super important, and so are mothers. Luckily for me, I have both rolled into one. Some people say that a parent should not be their child's best friend, but I have to disagree. My mom is my best friend. She has never been afraid to reprimand or discipline me. A parent can still be a parent while being their child's best friend, and my mom is great at being both!
Thank you, mom, for being the best friend I have ever had. You have always been my biggest supporter, and I couldn't be more grateful. People come and go, but I know that you will be there for me as long as you are able. You always put me first, and I appreciate it more than you'll ever know. Ever since I was born, you have put up with me and loved me through all of the good and bad parts.
It is almost odd with how great you are at understanding me. I trust you, and I know that you trust me. You really are the best. I know I don't say it enough, but thank you. I love you to the moon and back. You've worked hard to make sure I never went without. You inspire to me to always be better and do better. You taught me the importance of standing up for others and loving unconditionally.
Your advice is and always will be the most trusted. I've found that mothers tend to know best. I always enjoy having long conversations with you because I'm pretty sure I inherited your personality. No one understands me like you do. You encourage me and push me to be better than I thought I could be. Thank you for always valuing my thoughts and opinions and giving me respect. You are a role model I am glad to have. I hope one day to be as wonderful of a parent as you have been for me.
Not everyone is as lucky as I am to have a mom as amazing as you. You keep me grounded. No one can keep me calm quite like you can when I start stressing over everything. Even when I am feeling sad, you never fail to put a smile on my face. In my eyes, you are the best mom in the world. Everything you do is to make my life better, and I don't know how I could ever thank you enough for that.
Love,
Your child that thinks the world of you
