Thank You Starbucks!
Starbucks

Dear Starbucks,

This one goes out to the best coffee shop/cafe I have ever gotten my coffee from. Starbucks, it is always a pleasure to stop by and grab a tall blonde. There's no greater feeling than walking into your welcoming and friendly cafe and talking to the entertaining and outgoing employees as they whip up my coffee. Unlike some of the coffee places I have gotten my coffee from, your employees always love striking a funny and light conversation which leaves me with happiness. I used to think that your coffee was too strong for me which is why I went to Starbucks, but then again I was probably too young to handle drinking it back then. I started out with your hot chocolate because all my friends drank Starbucks and I wanted to be cool too, but I didn't drink coffee at the time.

Let's point out that your coffee cup designs are literally the cutest ever. Not a lot of coffee shops design their cups during the Fall, which always leave us customers curious about what kind of cup we are going to get next. I have also yet to try your pumpkin spice latte that I have heard is amazing. I was obsessed with your salted caramel mocha for a while until I started actually drinking regular coffee. You always spice up and change your drinks which is really refreshing and fun to look forward to. Plus, it might be super fun to some day have a coffee cup design contest (which you may already have that I am not aware of).

Another thing is that your cafes are everywhere! It's not like we have to drive for hours to find a Starbucks. In fact, you happen to be just a minute from my house, which I can't thank you enough for. I am also internally thankful that you are right next to my college, which is so helpful you have no idea. But like I said, you aren't hard to find, you have so many different cafe locations that are easy to travel to.

How about your fantabulous hours as well. It is amazing that you open at such early hours for those who get up super early for work. I believe you open at like 5:30 in the morning and close around 10 or 11 at night. Those are such great long hours to be open for those who work all day and need an extra boost of caffeine. There has never been one time that I drove to Starbucks and you were closed. Plus the customer service is absolutely amazing. I haven't had to wait for a barista to take my order, they have always been there ready to go when I know what I want. Your Baristas are always happy to be there too, there have been so many unhappy employees I have met which makes my experience there unfulfilling.

Keep up the terrific work Starbucks, you have no idea how truly great you are. I certainly can't wait to see what this upcoming fall cup designs will be. You always wow me with the amount of creativity you express through your designs. Another thing I love about Starbucks, how creative you are with your displays and coming up with different drink names.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
