Thank you, seniors, for you have shown me what it means to make the most of your four years in college.
I hope you know how much we all look up to you, how much we aspire to be like you, and how badly we wish you didn't have to go.
I hope you seniors know that we will not forget you. We will always look up to you as the ones who were able to go out every night and still somehow graduate in four years. We will always admire the way you held your heads high even when your mascara was smudged from your cheek to your eyebrow.
Thank you for taking us under your wings and showing us the way. Thank you for never letting me stand at a party alone and making sure everyone knew we were your "babies" as soon as we walked into a tailgate.
Thank you for telling me not to yell "Where is the hill?" as we stood on the street corner looking for the address of the house you told us to go to that night.
Thank you for inviting us to your tailgates because we had no clue where to go.
Thank you for giving me the reassurance that I needed to dress like a fool for game days, and that painting my face wasn't only okay, but expected. Thank you for letting me borrow your tutu and showing me how to cut my shirt without looking like a toddler did it. Thank you for showing us how to wear glitter appropriately.
Thank you for showing me how to paint a cooler, how to stencil the vineyard vines whale, and introducing me to Modge Podge. Thank you for telling us what to put on a cooler and what was tacky and overdone.
Thank you for showing us that it is more fun to act like a fool; that we should never take anything too seriously, and that it is more fun to dance like idiots than to ever try and impress someone.
Thank you for desperately trying to corrupt us in the most delicate way. Thank you for being the best role models of "hoes before bros." Thank you for giving us the drunk pep talks we needed in the bathroom at a frat party. Thank you for never letting us leave those parties alone and thank you for intimidating the life out of any guy we assumed to be decent enough for us.
Thank you for leading us in the direction of strong sisterhood and strong friendships. Thank you for showing us that keeping friends in other sororities is invaluable. Thank you for showing me why we love the Greek system.
We will never forget how you stood together when you lost one of your own. How inspiring it was to see you all come together in a celebration of love and loss. The respect we have for all of you is immeasurable.
I can only hope that my class will be as admirable as yours.
Thank you, seniors. We will miss you so much.
