As we celebrate father's day, I would like to give thanks to my dad. The past twenty years of my life you have served a best friend, a role model, a hero a teacher, and a father. I am so lucky to have had such an amazing individual in my life as my dad, and for that I would like to thank you for a couple of things. I appreciate you this father's day, and everyday.
I would first like to thank you for all that you have taught me about life. I promise I am always listening, learning and appreciating. I would credit my perspective on a lot of things to you. Your optimistic attitude towards everything and everyone is something that I have always admired and try to mirror every day. You always remind me of what's important in life and I am very thankful for that.
Thank you for constantly making me laugh. You could have coined the the term dad joke since day one. You're sense of humor is contagious, there isn't a length you wouldn't go to in order to get a laugh out of one your kids. You love to bring happiness to everyone around you, if you can get a least a smile out of someone you feel successful. You are constantly bringing joy to everyone, through both your goofy jokes and hilarious sense of humor.
Thank you for always believing in me and being my number one fan. You are the one I call for that last pep talk before a big test or presentation- at this point you could totally be a motivational speaker. I applaud you for always telling me I can do something even when I think it's impossible. I am so thankful for your support every step of the way. I also thank you for always trying to help me in bettering myself, whether it be practicing with for try outs to helping me figure out that accounting equation over the phone at school to giving me life advice. I wouldn't be the person I am today without you.
Thank you for the best childhood I could have asked for. I have countless childhood memories that I look back and smile upon because of you. From you lining up all the cans on the counters like a grocery store so I could pretend grocery shop with my play carriage to having tea parties with me and my 12,35342 stuffed animals. You made everyday of my childhood nothing short of a kids dream day.
Thank you for making me proud too. I think sometimes we are constantly focused on making our parents proud, that we somehow forget that they are constantly making us proud too. I am proud to be your daughter, you are an amazing person that I have looked up to you my whole life. You have been such a role model to myself and all my siblings, you're sense of the world and wise perspectives are nothing short of admirable.
