Dear Wi-Fi,
I might as well start off stating the obvious: most people reading this right now are using your beautiful capabilities. Because of you, I’m able to share my love for you with others. Through you, anything can happen, and the possibilities are endless.
You allow me to do my homework. Nowadays, we have to submit papers online, we have online classes, and we need Google to help us for research. Let’s not forget, perhaps, the most important thing of all--the ability to buy cheaper text books. It is extremely helpful for me to save money so that I can later spend it on food.
You allow me to entertain myself, or procrastinate. There is no end when it comes to entertaining myself when I get your help.
You allow me to use social media. You let me share pictures I think are great and tweets I think are funny.
You allow me to listen to music. I might be in the mood for Spotify, Pandora, or a playlist on YouTube. No matter what, you’ve got my back and you help me get through the day.
All these ways you can help me, and I almost forget to add the weather. In the morning, when I’m in bed trying to get up and start the day, you help locate the weather so I can dress accordingly, and you let me know when a storm might develop. You help keep me safe.
You also help me learn. Whatever it is that I don’t know, you assist me in the search to find the answer. It’s a journey we take together.
Although sometimes you decide to be mean and make me angry and frustrated, stressing me out and forcing me to use the data on my phone, I will forgive you. Everyone has bad days, and we all get through them.
So, thank you Wi-Fi, for always being there for me. You are truly something great. I know sometimes I take you for granted, but I promise to sacrifice some data on my phone every now and then to give you a rest and let you know how much I really appreciate you.
Thanks,
A Random College Student
P.S. If I don’t use my data, I’m sorry. I probably already went over my limit the second I went somewhere without you.
