Your freshman year of college is a year full of adjustment. You're in a new environment away from home and completely out of your element. Without my roommate, I'm not sure how I would have survived my first year away from home.
1. Thank you for always craving pizza with me.
Most of the time the cafeteria is serving terrible food and I'm glad you were always up to get pizza. It's an accomplishment that the Papa John's workers recognize our order.
2. Thank you for the countless hours of watching the Kardashians or the Food Network.
We may have lost a few brain cells keeping up with the Kardashians and gained a few pounds by watching the food network but sometimes we just needed lazy days. And within those lazy days, we have mastered the art of nap taking.
3. Thank you for understanding my homesickness.
It was hard adjusting to life five hours from home. Thank you for listening to me ramble about all my memories and things and people I missed the most. Oh, and never getting tired of me showing you pictures of my nieces.
4. Thank you for letting me complain about school.
For all the times I stressed about homework and complained about teachers you always were there to listen and made me feel not alone.
5. Thank you for joining in on my random outbursts of singing.
Life's no fun if you don't have someone who will obnoxiously sing lyrics with you while holding an imaginary microphone.
6. Thank you for making me laugh until I cry every day.
No matter the kind of day I had, your terrible jokes and over dramatic comments always have me cracking up. Our inside jokes will have me laughing for years. "I'm a grizzly bear".
7. Thank you for the heart to hearts.
For all the nights we laid in bed and spilled what was on our mind over junk food, you always listened with no judgment.
8. Thank you for laughing at all my jokes.
No matter how many times I've used a 'your mom' or 'that's what she said' joke, you laugh harder each time. Thanks for never getting tired of my sarcasm or sass and even when my jokes aren't funny you still muster a pity laugh.
9. Thank you for being up to go on any adventure with me.
From outings to Wal-Mart and getting lost in the ghetto to going out for candy or McDonald's close to midnight. Thanks for going golfing with me when neither of us have ever golfed and thanks for being up for cinnamon rolls even if we have to drive 30 minutes for them. No one can beat our jam sessions in the car especially to "I wanna dance with somebody".
10. Thank you for being the best friend I needed at college.
It's hard to believe I've known you for less than a year. You've impacted my life and I don't know what life was like before you. Here's to all the adventures to come and being roomies again next year. You truly are the best and I'm forever blessed for having you in my life.
