Dear Professor,
It is the end of yet another school year. It is a bittersweet moment knowing I won't be a student in your class anymore. I have had the privilege of being your student for many different classes, all of which I loved and enjoyed. I never realized how amazing professors really are until I reached out to you for help. Sure, professors are just put in our lives to get us to the next step in our education, but I believe that my professors were put into my life for a reason. I don't know how or why, but I do know that you were put into my life for a reason. Even though I am a shy, quiet student, I thank you for letting me open up to you and showing you my heart.
So, thank you...
Thank you for being my inspiration to not give up.
Thank you for opening my eyes to how I should see myself.
Thank you for listening to my rants.
Thank you for praying for me.
Thank you for encouraging me to find my voice and stand up for myself.
Thank you for all your motherly advice...
...And being "mom" sometimes.
Thank you for reminding me, almost daily, that God has a plan for me.
Thank you for doing life with me this past school year.
Thank you for not only being there for be during the hard times, but during the good times.
Most importantly, thank you for loving me and caring for me, especially when I am stubborn and sassy.
I was just an insecure girl afraid to fail again. You picked me up and helped me build some confidence to succeed. I was a girl who was, and still is, anxious about the future and you told me that I was a bright, sweet, beautiful girl who would one day be an exceptional teacher with potential. I was self-conscious about the way I looked and you told me not to worry about what other people think. You told me to not borrow trouble and to be a love sponge, because love is one of the greatest things we can receive.
I love you. Thank you for absolutely everything.
-Your now former student
