A Thank You Letter To My Parents

Dear Mom and Dad,

You probably did not think that I would ever write an article about you, huh? Well, here I am. Don't worry, I will try not to make it TOO sappy for you to handle. I just wanted to write this short, little letter to tell you both thank you and to show you how much you mean to me.

Thank you for giving me such a great life. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for always telling me the truth, even when I don't want to hear it. Thank you for giving me the best, but also the most stubborn brother in the world. Thank you for being my best friends. Thank you for being kind and honest. Thank you for teaching me and raising me to be a good person in the world. Thank you for laughing with me. Thank you for putting up with my dumb shenanigans.Thank you for giving me more than I could ever ask for in life. Thank you for constantly encouraging me. Thank you for always answering the phone when I call and need to vent. Thank you for all your hard work you do on a daily basis. Thank you for taking me to cool places so I can experience the world. Thank you for teaching me to be the better person in every situation. Thank you for teaching me that it is okay to make mistakes. Thank you for showing me that there are good people in the world. Thank you for giving me tough love when it is needed. Thank you for teaching me to always stand-up for myself and what I believe in.

And finally,

Thank you for never giving up on me and always supporting me and believing in me and my abilities, even when I sometimes forget to believe in myself.

You both mean the world to me, and I know I probably don't say it enough, but I love and appreciate you both so much. I am thankful to call you both my parents and I wanted you both to know that. Thank you for shaping me into the person that I am today, and the person I am becoming.
