Dear One Direction,
Ever since your U.S. debut, I have been a Directioner. I bought every CD, every book and countless other merchandise. I went to your concerts year after year and cheered in the crowd. You've come a long way since then. You've made five CDs and gone on four tours (three of which I've attended). You've written books, broken records and gotten tons of awards. I've come a long way since then too, and you helped me a lot. Thank you.
Thank you for giving me something to look forward to and be excited about. Every year I get excited for the next album and rush to the store to buy it the day it comes out. I get really excited for the next tour and sit at my computer the day tickets go on sale so I can get good seats. In fact, in order to get the best tickets for the "On The Road Again" tour, I spent all the money I got for my 18th birthday.
Thank you for being my stress relief. Anytime I'm stressed about something, all I have to do is listen to your songs. Your music calms me down every time. There are times when life is overwhelming and things are stressful. All it takes is one song to make me relax.
Thank you for making me smile when no one else could. Almost three years ago a close friend of mine took his life. It was a really hard time for me and I was depressed for a while. Listening to your song "Through the Dark" made me feel better. It made me feel like you guys were telling me that I'd be okay. I saw you guys in concert a year later and when I heard you sing "Through the Dark" live, I teared up. Also, about two years ago, I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled. When I got home from the dentist my mouth was killing me. You guys were the first thing that made me smile. I started watching videos of you guys, and within a few minutes i was laughing hysterically. Whenever I'm sad, you never fail to make me smile.
Thank you for being you. You are by far my favorite band ever. You're funny, talented, kind and incredibly attractive. You're really nice to all your fans and you've done lots of charity work. None of You have ever let the fame go to your head, you've stayed humble. You guys are absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see what you do next. Whether you come back from your break as a band or you start solo careers, I will always support you (though I hope you come back as a band). You have helped me through so much and I'm forever grateful. I only hope that one day I'll get the chance to meet you so I can tell you in person. Thank you One Direction, for everything.
