Hey girls,
It’s still hard to believe our freshman year has come and gone so quickly. Now we’re all living in different places, doing different things and occasionally meeting back up to reminisce on the crazy time that was freshman year. I can’t thank you all enough for listening to me whine and moan about almost everything. I’m surprised you still love me after watching me have multiple mental breakdowns all around town -- from our suite’s kitchen floor to the middle of Best Buy.
Thanks for always letting me play my music as loudly as I wanted, because you knew I was going through something that required me to listen to Adele at full volume and cry at two in the morning. Thanks for always being willing to help me fight off the ghost that lived with us and tormented us all year long. Thank you for watching the Food Network with me at all hours of the day. Thank you for going to Wendy’s with me all the time because we all had a mutual understanding that chicken nuggets were more important than homework.
Thank you for dragging me to the gym and forcing me to move my body more than the everyday slug to and from class. Thank you for all the random Tuesday nights when I wanted to go out and you all didn’t, but you went out with me anyway because I wanted to see the boy who sits three rows behind me and locked eyes with me for two and a half seconds in class six weeks ago. Thank you for forcing me to go to class even though I would have rather dug my own grave than go be productive that day. Thank you for listening to Christmas music with me in the middle of March. Thank you for being my mom when I was sick and taking me to the doctor and always making sure I took my medicine. Thank you for letting me eat your ramen noodles when I felt like I could have died of starvation. Thank you for playing the role of mom at a high school dance and taking many candid photos of my date and me before my date party. Thank you for helping me edit all my pictures to assure prime number of Instagram likes.
Thank you for giving me memories I wouldn’t trade in a lifetime. Most of all thank you for being you. Because even after all the weird and crazy stuff that went down in room 114, I couldn’t have done it without you.
