Dear Mom and Dad,
Thank you for always caring. Thank you from day one, for carrying me from the hospital into the small condo in New York, to holding me close as I walked into my first apartment. We've been told continuously that there isn't a book on parenting, but if there was, you'd be the authors.
Thank you for showing me what real "relationship goals" look like. The support that you not only give to each other, but the support that you give to your kids, there isn't even a way to show my gratefulness. The endless love and affection you give each other gives me hope (ha-ha).
Thank you for blessing me with a full life. Thank you for all the family vacations and dinners out. Thank you for the home-cooked meals that always made me feel more than full. Thank you for never letting me leave hungry.
And I know I didn't say this enough in high school, but thank you for not letting me stay out late. Thank you for grounding me when I was lazy with my school work. Thank you for teaching me that "early is on time, on time is late and late isn't acceptable." Even though we got into one or two (more like 20) disagreements about college, thank you for letting me be able to make a choice.
Thank you for teaching me that I'm only human and that everyone makes mistakes. Thank you for pre-reading my papers. Thank you for being my classroom and letting me present projects to you. Thank you for showing me that practice doesn't make perfect, it makes better.
And most of all, thank you for allowing me to grow into the person that I have become. I have you to thank for all my traits. I wouldn't have gotten this far without you. I love you both so very much.
Love Always,
Your Daughter
