Dear Pi Beta Phi,
Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I never thought that a sorority could ever mean as much to me as it does. Ever since day one, you've been home to me. I never thought joining a "social club" with 200 girls that I had never met before could ever change me like it did.
Thank you for giving me an irreplaceable backbone of support. Yes, it's impossible to be best friends with all of your members, but it isn't impossible to receive immeasurable support from them at all times, whether it be dealing with struggles or deciding whether to go for a new position. You have taught me that I am able to do whatever I set my mind to, and for that, I thank you.
Thank you for the friends I know I never would have found anywhere else. I don't know how you are filled with the most amazing girls in the world, but you sure are, and for that, I thank you.
Thank you for teaching me how to be a woman. Whether it's quizzing ourselves to see if we remember them, or going over them in a seminar, I will never forget our core values, and I will never stop striving to reach them. Pi Phi, your very own foundations have taught me how to be a better member of society, and how to be a better version of my own self, and for that, I thank you.
Thank you for giving me teammates. After quitting my high school sport, I thought I would never have a group of people to work towards a goal with. Not only do I have that in every single philanthropy or on-campus event, I have the best teammates anyone could ever ask for, and for that, I thank you.
Thank you for a community that will always welcome me home. Whether it be someone from my own chapter or someone from a chapter across the country, I know that a fellow Pi Beta Phi means friendship and connection, and for that, I thank you.
Thank you for accepting me as I am. Never did I ever think recruitment could be so successful as finding a chapter where I could walk around the house after four days of not taking a shower, or right after I woke up without brushing my hair. You have let me be me for every second, whether it be dancing like a maniac at a date party, or eating five rolls at dinner, and for that, I thank you.
Thank you for making the four years of college the best four years. I know that if you were not a part of my college years, they would not have been as worth remembering. You have saturated every day that I have been a part of you with happiness, laughs, encouragement, inspiration, and authenticity, and for that, I thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
PPL and mine.
