Dear Furry Friend,
You are the one who is always there for me when I'm sad, mad or just need some love. You can't talk back, but you can listen. No matter how angry I am with you that day because you ate another pair of my shoes, I always give into those puppy eyes. I can always count on you when I'm having a bad day. So I want to thank you for everything you do.
Thank you for making me laugh.
When we go for walks and you find the biggest stick to take home. When you lay out in the sun for hours on end. When you try to itch your back so you roll around in the grass like a maniac. When you come inside covered in mud because you thought it'd be a good idea to continuously run through puddles. Or how much you love to be vacuumed.
Thank you for cheering me up.
Whether it be taking ridiculous selfies with me, letting me on your bed with you, or you licking my face over and over again; somehow you always manage to put a smile on my face.
And even if you're not a fan, thank you for all the hugs.
You might not understand what a hug is. You might not like being embraced in my arms. But the times you rest your head on my shoulder and it seems like you're hugging back...those are the times that mean the most. You let me know that I am loved and everything will be okay.
But most importantly, thank you for being my best friend.
You may not know it, but I love you more than anything. Sometimes I don't show it and sometimes I yell at you. But no matter what, you'll always be my favorite friend. You may no be able to communicate with me, understand a lot of what's going on, or even do things with me. But you will always be the most caring and loving out of everyone in my life. You are capable of putting a smile on my face and showing me that you love me. I am undeniably thankful for. You are the best friend I could every as for, even if you are furry.
