Dad,
Well, I want to thank you for everything. You are my role model, and you don’t get enough credit for making me who I am today. You taught me so many life lessons, and I just have a few things I want to thank you for.
Thank you for all the countless numbers of laughs we have together, mom always said she can’t take us anywhere. You’re like a child that never grew up, you live life to the fullest, and you never give up. You taught me how to achieve my goals, you always said I can’t get to my goal unless I work hard for it, and you were the one who showed me how to work hard for things that matter to me.
Not only did you teach me how to work hard for things that matter to me, you taught me how to respect people and myself. You taught me how to be kind, humble, and I’m grateful for everything you do. You didn’t just teach all these things to me, you could put up with me. You dealt with all my craziness and my teenage phases, and I can’t thank you enough for that.
Out of everyone in the crowd at any event, you were the only one I heard. You’re my number one supporter and I thank you for that. You attended every track meet, soccer game, cheerleading event, chorus concert, etc. If I was involved, you were front row screaming my name.
Thank you for dragging me to all the baseball games when I didn’t want to go, you wanted someone to go to with you and I was you’re go too. Some days I just wanted to stay home and hang out, but you dragging me to those baseball games made me love the game and now baseball games are all I look forward to during the spring time.
You’re always worrying about everyone but yourself. You’re the nicest person I ever met, you make sure everyone is okay even if you’re the one who is hurt or who is stressed out. When I am upset, you know exactly how to make me feel better, for example by making stupid jokes and we all know most of the time the jokes aren’t funny. The thing that makes me laugh with you is how you’re the only one laughing at your own jokes and that’s what makes me feel better. You take care of us, and do everything you can to make us happy. So, don’t worry, everything you done is not unnoticed, we thank you for everything you do.
Time has gone by; I went to college so I never see you as much as I use too, also your work has gotten busier. So, all the countless number of Saturday’s we spent together I took for granted because I miss being with you. I miss talking to you every day like we use too, but now we have things to look forward too when I get home for special occasions.
You taught me to never settle less than what I deserve, you taught me how to live my life and how to have fun. You were the first man that walked into my life, my first love, and will ALWAYS be the most important man in my life no matter what. I am truly blessed to have a father like you, thanks for everything you do.
Love Always,
You’re Little Girl
