Thanks for being more like a sister.

A Thank You Letter to my Best Friend
Pınar Ecem Çavuş

First off, thank you. Thank you so much for being there for me in good times and in bad.

To say you’re more like a sister than my best friend would be an understatement. You’ve been there for me through absolutely everything and I’d be completely lost without you. I firmly believe you were brought into my life to be my better half, and I’m thankful that I found you at an early age.

Thank you for being there through the awkward ages of 8-18 when I should’ve been locked away. Thank you for holding my hand as life threw crazy curveballs our way.

Whether it’s crazy birds flying at our heads or flying down the highway, I know I can always count on you for a good laugh and inside joke.

Thank you for never giving up on me. I know I’m not the easiest person to be friends with, but without you I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you for giving me strength when I couldn’t find it myself, and thank you for loving me when I didn’t always love myself. You’ve been my rock through all the bad times, and I wouldn’t have found my way by myself.

I can’t wait to travel through life with you. I can’t wait to be the cool aunt that fills your children with sugar and then gives them back to you, or stand by you on your wedding day as you say “I do” to your second forever (because I’ll always be the #1 boyfriend). But most importantly, I can’t wait for all the little things life throws our way, because together we can do anything.

Thank you for accepting me as your own. Whether it’s

family dinners or your wedding day. Thank you for choosing me to be by your side, because I know for a fact, I can’t do it without you

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
