For those of us who crave information about the world around us, finding good resources can be hard. The Internet is full of fake stories, and it can be hard to tell what's reliable. However, there is one YouTube duo that provides incredibly well researched stances on current issues (as well as some very entertaining videos among the serious ones). This duo consists of two brothers, Hank and John Green. The Green brothers run various channels, but the main two I will be highlighting today are "Crash Course" and "Vlogbrothers."
These brothers have provided me with very valuable information and helped me within numerous classes throughout the years, and for that, I am thankful. I would like to take the time to write this article, highlighting some of my favorite videos from these brothers.
First, I would like to provide a video that introduces the brothers, in case some of you are new to them. This video takes the form of a Q&A but focuses on the brothers and the community they've made.
.
Next, I want to highlight some videos that help with school. The brothers, mainly Hank, do videos explaining the basics of common core school classes like biology, chemistry or philosophy. These series, and many more, have helped me to study for classes as well as clarifying topics that can get confusing.
Next, the brothers make videos explaining current issues within the world. These are great if you want to be kept up to date as well as form a good, basic understanding of complicated concepts within minutes. From the presidential policies to human sexuality, they really do cover it all!
The Green brothers also have a series called "Thoughts From Places," in which they talk about something relevant to the places they happen to be since they travel a lot. These videos provide amazing firsthand experiences and knowledge to situations many don't even know exist.
Finally, in a midst of all this information, the Green brothers make some very funny and entertaining videos. In particular, I want to highlight their joke videos because they are absolutely terrible and hilarious at the same time!
This concludes my favorite series by the Green brothers. I want to take a moment to thank the Green brothers for always making learning interesting. For lifetime learners like me, your videos provide an amazing escape and insightful viewpoints that make boring topics interesting. Thanks to you, I know so much about a variety of topics I never would have if I hadn't stumbled across you two. Thank you, John and Hank Green, for fueling my love of learning and keeping every topic interesting and fun. DFTBA.
