"Thank You" can never amount to my gratitude I have for you coming in to my life. Before I came to college I always hoped I would find a friend like you, and as I started to lose hope freshman year, you magically came into my life as a roommate.
I knew coming to college seven hours away from home was a risk, but it was a risk I was willing to take! New places, lifestyle, setting and of course, friends. College was something I would daydream about in my high school classes, thinking about all of the exciting adventures that awaited. Sadly I didn't get to experience that until after freshman year.
Meeting you was like finding a needle in a hay stack. You are truly a one of a kind person, and it is one of my favorite qualities about you. From being strangers to acquaintances and now best friends, I oddly could not imagine my life without you. You have been with me through my best and worst times and honestly know the real me.Yes, you may not have met my whole family yet like my high school friends have, but you know me the best, sometimes even better than I know myself.
We've laughed, we've cried and we have experiences and memories that no one can ever take away from us. Thank you for teaching me to live. I did not think that someone could ever break me out of my shell until I met you. We are such opposites, but so alike at the same time. We can look at each other and not say a word, yet know exactly what the other is thinking.
Thank you for our crazy adventures! Our late night TV binges and trips to John's Wildwood Pizza will never grow old. Although pizza and television are important to me, I really want to thank you for your patience. You are so caring and compassionate. I look up to you and know we'll will accomplish great things in life.
From getting caught in the rain while "running," to calling your ex-boyfriend to scaling our apartment balcony, we have so many stories that we will be telling for years and I can't wait for those days. Sometimes I don't know what I am going to do without you after graduation, but we will cross that path when we get there.
Thank you for taking your time with me to open up, learn and experience life with you. Thank you for pushing and encouraging me to be the best me I can be. Thank you for listening to me, when I feel no one else will listen. Thank you for the advice you give me on the daily. And of course thank you for talking me out of ideas that seem good to me at the moment that could end in regret later.
