Sometimes we as little sisters aren’t quite sure of the words to tell our big brothers just how much we appreciate them. So here it is: Thank you big brother.
Thank you for hating the idea of me from the moment you found out you were going to be a big brother and then deciding not too long after my arrival that “eh, she isn’t so bad.”
Thank you for knocking me off of my rocking horse because you thought it was the sweet thing to do so that you could teach me how to ride.
Thank you for aiming and hitting me right in the gut with that baseball because you were “trying to make me tough.”
Thank you for pulling my pigtails and kicking me in the shins.
Thank you for not letting me sit alone on the school bus on our very first day to a new school.
Thank you for being my ride to school when I still didn’t have a license so that I could have an extra half hour to get ready.
Thank you, big brother, for all the cheesy Christmas presents like socks, because you never really know what to get a girl.
Thank you for always having my back when I get into trouble, even if sometimes it’s my fault.
Thank you for loving me unconditionally even though you like to act like you have no feelings at all.
Most of all, thank you for being my lifelong true best friend, secret keeper, confidant in all things, and a blessing to me daily.
