The title of the popular Beatles song, “I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends,” describes how I was able to survive my first semester. It’s crazy to think that first semester of college is coming to an end. Of course, I will always remember the friends I met during the awkward first week of my transition to college. But, thankfully, I met my true college friends, the people I cannot live without. So, to the friends I made in college, this is dedicated to you.
1. Thank you for always being there for me through the thick and thin.
Besides my good friends, Ben & Jerry, you are always there for me when I am at my best and when I am at my worst.
2. Thank you for coming in clutch whenever I have questions about homework.
Especially when I text you at late hours of the night.
3. Thank you for always coming with me to grab food.
Whether it is getting snacks for my dorm to getting dinner, and occasionally brunch.
4. Thank you for hanging out with me in my dorm.
5. Thank you for letting me eat your food.
6. Thank you for giving me advice whenever I am in need of it.
7. Thank you for knocking some sense into my life when I am not thinking logically or realistically.
8. Thank you for letting me borrow your clothes.
9. Thank you for dancing with me at the frats.
10. Thank you for helping me up whenever I fall (after you laugh at me).
11. Thank you for understanding my sass and my sarcasm.
12. Thank you for helping me make decisions when I am being too indecisive.
13. Thank you for doing spontaneous things with me.
Doesn't hurt to try something new, or out of the ordinary!
14. Thank you for appreciating how weird I am.
And for still thinking I am cool.
15. Thank you for celebrating with me when something good happens.
16. Thank you for being the best friends.
College can be stressful at times, and I am so thankful to have friends who help me overcome anything that gets in my way. Here's to second semester!
