As a writer I am sure you have seen many people write letters for their friends, parents or someone who has inspired them. For me, I can't think of people who deserve this next article more than my brothers. Webster’s dictionary defines brother as a boy or man who has one or both of the same parents as you or a man who is from the same group or country as you. Over the years I have made relationships with people where I consider them family and I am lucky enough to have them in my life. I don’t know how I could do life without them and there is so much I owe to them.
This letter is not just for my fraternity brothers or my friends who I refer to as my brothers but to my two older brothers. Growing up next to both of you I have learned many valuable lessons whether it was about girls, not to worry about the future and that it's okay if I am different. I was lucky enough to grow up close enough in age so we could experience some things together. You were able to teach me that its ok to be yourself or that it is okay if you do some things that other people don’t do. Thank you for always having my back and telling me what is right and what is wrong. Thank you for also helping me realize what college is all about and that being tagged as one thing doesn’t mean it should be a bad thing. I can't think of life without both of you and I can’t think of anyone else filling your shoes.
To my fraternity brothers you guys have grown to become brothers away from home and some of the best people I know. I came to Alabama looking for a group of people to call my family away from home and I definitely found them I have been able to tell you anything if not everything when I needed you or my brothers the most. I can’t say enough good things about you guys and I look forward to more fun things with you guys for the next few years. Another thing thanks for putting up with my innocence and being the best fraternity possible.
To my camp friends whether I have known you my whole life or I have known you for a few years you have been my brothers through thick and thin. I have had many groups of friends but you guys have exhibited the definition of my best friends to where I can call you my brothers. You have done things like my brothers such as telling me to never give up and the importance of being my own person. Not a day goes by where I cant say thank you for helping me become a better person as the years have gone by. I owe so much to you for being my brothers from other mothers.
To my friends I grew up with: Thank you for putting up with me on a daily basis and being patient with me we were all apart of the same groups to where I can call you brothers. I can’t think about middle or high school without you whether we were trying to figure life out or trying to be the most hilarious guys out there we were all there for each other. That is true brotherhood. Though we may have gone our separate ways I consider you my brothers and will always treasure everything we’ve done together.
I can’ thank my brothers enough whether we are related or just close friends you have helped me become a better person. I can’t think of life without you and all the lessons you have taught me. You are all my brothers and important to me. I love you all so much and you will always be apart of my life.
