I have been putting off writing this for a while now. Friday I officially move away from my home. Where I have cried, laughed, and grown up into the person I am today. I know I am about two years behind everyone that I graduated high school with but I am very grateful for the two years I had at community college. I learned a lot about life. But now I enter into a new chapter of my life away from the safety of my parents. Granted my brother, sister, their spouses, and my aunt and uncle live all within 40 minutes of where I will going and my sister and brother-in-law will be attending the same school, but I will still be on my own. No longer will I be just a hallway away from my mom to talk about what ever happened that day. I can't just plan a quick trip to the movies with my little brothers. Even though I am sad about the things I will miss, change is important. It will be good for me experience this new adventure. So this is my good bye/thank you letter to to the people I love in my life.
Thank you to the people who prayed for me. I know it it was hard. There were times when I doubted me, but you never did. Knowing that you wanted to take the time in your precious time with God to pray for me is a blessing in itself. Please continue to pray for me. Lord knows I need them. Pray that I continue to grow and glorify God. Pray that my studies go smoothly and that I can remain calm throughout the semester.
Thank you to the people who poured themselves into my life. You saw me as a 11 year old or a 14 year old who needed some encouragement. Even when I was difficult or making not the best choices, you stayed by me and gave examples of what strong Christian women do. You have encouraged me when i couldn't find value in myself. Even if I never said anything, you did and I constantly thank God that He put you in my life.
Thank you to my family. You are the real MVPs. Thank you for being there even when you didn't have to be. I can be quiet and not always good at expressing my feelings. I get stressed out after long work days and don't always hide it. But you deal with my moods and stand by me when I make good and bad choices. You have shown me what it means to love some one unconditionally. You have shown me how important it is to have a solid relationship with Christ and what it looks like to live it out. You have been by me my whole life and it will hard to move on to a place where you are not right in the other room. I am who I am today because you.
Thank you.
