A Thank You Letter To My College Roommate

You've been my rock through it all.

A Thank You Letter To My College Roommate
Gossip Girl

Your freshman year college roommate is the first true person you meet at school and will either become your best friend or worst enemy. In my case, I was blessed beyond belief and have a rockin' roommate at my university. She's been my main squeeze at school for almost four years now and I could not be happier about it. Besides being there for nearly every single event in my life and giving me advice on how to be a functioning human, we've also made some truly extraordinary memories together.

Thank you for being my first best friend on campus. We were glued at the hip from the start and immediately bonded over our weirdness. Our long wanders around campus and adventures to Panera were the only ways I got through the tough days. And also those froyo dates were the bomb.com.

Thank you for being there for many of my first time experiences in college.I Perhaps a party, or two...

Thank you for being up for nearly anything at any time. Coffee break? Lets go to Dunkin. Midnight movie marathon? I can sleep tomorrow. McDonalds run at 11:30 pm? We will go out of our way for the drive-thru.

Thank you for being the person I could celebrate with at the end of a tough semester. While finals always killed us, and freshman year we had no idea how to deal with them, we got through it together, with only a few all nighters and half a dozen coffees.

Our last three years have been amazing, and this semester apart being abroad has definitely proven to me that we are the best pair. I look forward to all of our adventures senior year and beyond. Thank you for being my roommate, my best friend and my sister.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
