To my best friend of 11 years,
I don’t even know where to begin. You've been by my side for the past 11 years and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank you enough, but here’s my attempt to.
Thank you for the endless amount of memories. I’ll never forget the early memories of playing Box Car Children in my backyard or the Mary Kate and Ashley movie marathons. Or the middle school memories of Truth or Dare and going to teen night at the YMCA. Or the countless memories from high school, like School Dances, Concerts, Road Trips (mostly for concerts), Prom and Half Apps at Applebee’s.
Thanks for being hilarious and always being able to make me laugh. Whether it’s a spontaneous joke or reminding me of some funny memory, I can always count on you for a laugh.
Thank you for going on excursions to the mall with me and being my personal stylist. I can always count on you for an honest opinion and a fun trip to the mall. You'll always be the person to help me find the perfect outfit.
Thanks for understanding my weird habits or obsessions. I know you get tired of hearing about Harry Styles, but you still listen to me talk about him (and you’re my voice of reason when it comes to unrealistic expectations).
Thank you for continuing to support and encourage me. Now, the little texts of encouragement make my day and when we were younger the support at my theater performances and dance recitals meant so much.
Thanks for understanding my humor, even though you insist that I’m not actually funny. But you still laugh at most of my jokes and if you don’t, you shake your head at me and end up laughing anyway.
Thank you for still being my best friend even though we go to different colleges. Our colleges are 178 miles apart, but it still feels like we’re closer than ever. We both have found new friends at college but I don’t know if anyone can replace the label of best friend that you hold. Honestly, I was a little scared that it would be weird when we first saw each other again after leaving for school, but instead of it being strange, it was like nothing had changed between us. We still understand each other’s humor, remember our inside jokes, and can talk for hours on end.
Thanks for being the person I can go to Starbucks with, watch the "Bachelor" phenomenon with, sing "Wrecking Ball" or "Hello" at the top of my lungs with, or talk about nothing or everything with.
Thank you for being the Serena to my Blair.
Thanks for being you.
Love you more than life itself.
Sincerely,
Your best friend of 11 years
