Going to UCSB is a lot like paradise. We have the beach. We have the sun. We have a tiny little town all to ourselves. Unfortunately with paradise comes a few things that aren't so sweet. These are the terrifying moments all UCSB students know to be true.
1. When you're biking at the speed of light and someone darts out into the bike path:
So, this is what near death feels like.
2. When you have ten minutes to get from Broida to IV Theater:
"So am I leaving this lecture early or going to my next lecture late?"
3. When you have a friend that lives past 65 block:
Honestly, walking anything over two blocks in IV is a mission.
4. When your professor decides not to post lecture slides on GauchoSpace:
5. When you're ordering food off SBMenus and the restaurant you wanted to order food from is temporarily unavailable for delivery:
Time to reevaluate your whole life.
6. Walking through the Arbor:
"Please don't come up to me. Please don't come up to me. Please don't...DAMN IT!"
7. When it rains and you either have to get to the bus stop an hour early or bike in the rain:
It's better to just stay in bed, to be honest.
8. When you go to DLG for late night and you remember it's Friday:
9. Trying to go to Bagel Cafe on a Saturday morning:
10. When you have a quiz week three, an essay week four, and a midterm week five:
No better way to strain your mental health than going to a school on the quarter system.
11. When you go to the lib during finals week:
WHERE DID ALL OF YOU PEOPLE COME FROM?
12. When a heat wave hits and no place in IV has air conditioning:
Nothing better than a nice sweaty bike ride and then getting to sit in IV theater with two fans and 300 people.
