10 Reasons Why Brooke Davis Slays

If you are a "One Tree Hill" fan, you know that there was often tension between the two best friends Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer. This tension specifically occurred when winning over the heart of the main character, Lucas Scott. As a "One Tree Hill" fan, you were either team Brooke Davis or Team Peyton Sawyer. From the start of the show until the very last episode, I have been Team Brooke Davis and here is why.

1. She's relatable.

From the beginning of the show, Brooke Davis played the stereotypical cheerleader who was more interested in boys rather than her schoolwork. Initially, this may have made most viewers dislike her, but as the show continues, Brooke Davis develops into a relatable character that learns many valuable life lessons as the years go by.

2. She's determined.

Brooke Davis is a powerful girl who worked hard at whatever she set her mind to. Whether it was for her high school cheerleading team to compete at nationals, or design her own clothing company, she always worked hard to reach her goal.

3. She's a dependable friend.

Brooke Davis was always there when one of her friends needed her. She was a shoulder to cry on, a good listener, and a good encourager.

4. Unlike Peyton Sawyer, she's not categorized as someone who “always leaves.”

As a "One Tree Hill" fan you can probably recall Peyton Sawyer often complaining about how hard her life was and that “people always leave.” Brooke Davis is someone that never left not only Peyton’s side, but also the show.

5. She's strong.

It was rare to watch the show and listen to Brooke Davis complain about her life, even though she came from a broken family and always seemed to be second best to someone else.

6. She learns from her mistakes.

In the beginning of the show, Brooke Davis was a wild teenage girl who often made many mistakes. Throughout the show, she matures significantly and becomes an amazing, independent woman.

7. She's loyal.

Brooke Davis is loyal to her friends, whereas her best friend Peyton is not. She has always been a good, loyal friend, especially to her best friend Peyton. Peyton, however, seems to betray her several times, especially when Peyton breaks up Lucas and Brooke because she ‘suddenly’ decides she is in-love with him.

8. She's independent.

Brooke Davis has a weak family and several friends. Rather than depend on others, Brooke is very independent and depends mostly on herself.

9. She's forgiving.

Brooke Davis does not hold grudges. She forgives, moves on, and is happy for the people around her, even if it damaged her own happiness.

10. She is just awesome overall.

She’s beautiful, smart, friendly, independent, determined, and always looks on point. Brooke Davis teaches viewers that it is possible to turn your life around in the right direction, all you need is yourself, and if you have a dream, never give up on it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
