To my favorite high school teacher,

Thank you for never giving up on me. I was a mess in high schools, like a tornado destroying a whole subdivision kind of a mess. I was stubborn, careless, and often times rebellious, but you never gave up on what you knew I could become someday. You kept pushing me to be the best that I could be because you believed in me, even when I could not believe in myself.

Thank you for being a shoulder to cry on. You were always there for me when I needed someone to talk to, whether it be a rant or something serious going on in my life. You listened to why I was so upset and gave me advice I would always take because I looked up to you and trusted you.

Thank you for checking up on me. You would always find me and made sure I ate something that day because you knew I was having issues with where food was the last thing on my mind.

You would always ask if I did my homework so I would not fall behind and help me with it if I needed it. If I needed a smile put on my face, you would be there to joke and laugh with me.

Thank you for showing me how to make a difference in the world. You showed me all the opportunities to be able to make a change in the world through volunteer work.

I found my happiness in that, and I think you knew that I would. You showed me how I can become the best person I can be, to be able to help those in need.

Thank you for keeping me grounded. I sometimes lost track of who I was and who I wanted to be, whether it be with a toxic boyfriend or my attitude/self-esteem, you always helped keep me on track. You knew my own goals in life before I knew them.

Thank you for helping shape me into who I am today. Without you, I do not even want to imagine what kind of mess I would be today without your guidance throughout high school.

You are the teacher that no one will ever forget and plenty of students look back at their time in high school and knew they had you to thank for becoming who they are today.

You changed my life for the better.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
