We all have our celebrity crushes and obsessions. When we were younger, they were those Disney Channel cuties and as we get older, they became those weathered Hollywood heartthrobs. I've gone through a wide array of celebrity crushes but for the past five years, my celeb crush list has mainly consisted of British men. For those five years, my number one celeb crush has been the same person and let's be real here — he is England's national treasure, Mr. Tom Hiddleston.
So imagine my surprise when this week, my number one bae is spotted making out with Taylor Swift. They weren't very "low key" about this so called romantic sunset beach make-out session. "Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift making out on a beach? What? That should be me instead of that wench!" said me and several million crying fangirls. We are protective and passionate about our Tom. Before all the rabid Swifty fans jump down my throat, I'm just going to say this: Tom can date whomever he wants and whenever he wants. Even if he wants to have a fling with Taylor Swift, then he can. I just don't necessarily think it's a good idea because hello, Taylor has a terrible dating record. She breaks up with said dude and writes a catchy but tacky breakup song about them. You better not write a tacky song about Tom, Taylor. If anything this whole "relationship" makes me think about Taylor's past relationships and which song was inspired by each guy. Without further ado, let's learn all about Taylor's breakup hits and misses.
1. "We Are Never Getting Back Together"
That one time Taylor dated Jake Gyllenhaal and it was like "umm what?" The clue is all in the scarf. In the music video for, "We are never getting back together," the supposed ex gives Taylor a scarf. Ouch.
2. "Style"
This one is just plain obvious. "Style" was obviously about Harry Styles. Thank God that Harry with his long hair slicked back and James Dean's daydream eyes got away from Taylor.
3. "Out of the Woods"
Harry Styles, you must have left a huge impact on Taylor because you are special and have two whole songs on the album based off of you. What did you exactly do to her?
4. "Back to December"
Ah, those days when everyone swooned over Taylor Lautner. This was just a classic case of where Taylor Lautner was just far into Taylor Swift and she just wasn't into him. Sad, poor guy. Now he just sits on the list of the Swifty rejects.
5. "Forever and Always"
Ouch. That was just brutal and awkward. I'm talking about Joe's bad hair and Taylor's awkward curling days. Whew. Plus nobody really remembers this song anymore. Harry has a leg up in the breakup song department, Joe.
What are your thoughts on the Swiftiddles crying fest of 2016?
