It's really interesting to see what people think of tattoos. A lot of people have different opinions on the subject. People around my age usually agree with me in the fact that tattoos are fine and they have no problem with them, but I was surprised to find out that my co-worker, who is a year younger than me doesn't like tattoos on other people.
This was really interesting to me because my sister and I were talking about it and I just asked my co-worker what she thought. She said that they're ugly and she doesn't know why people put them on their body. I was a little taken back at the blunt statement but relieved at the same time that she shared her true thoughts. People usually sugarcoat their opinions to make them line up with others thoughts and I'm not a fan of that. It's so refreshing when someone is okay with their own opinion and speak truthfully about what they think.
I was then intrigued to figure out why she thought this way. I asked her if anyone in her family had tattoos and she said no one does and then asked if anyone in her family shares the same perspective as her and he said her mom does. That makes sense because parents do have an influence over their kids that other people don't have.
I was curious to see what she thought of when she sees other people with tattoos. She said "Mostly just why. My brain can't wrap around why people do that." Then I was talking with my sister and it's the total opposite. Yes, our mother has the same view as my co-worker's mom but we don't think that way, and I couldn't tell you why. My sister and I both have a tattoo and some of our other siblings do as well.
Tattoos are unique to the owner which makes a tattoo special. For the most part, people don't get random tattoos of anything that doesn't mean something to them. There would be no point in spending that money on something that has no meaning.
