In this day in age, tattoos have become more of a social norm for people to have. Many people have different things that make them who they are. People have different birthmarks, piercings, and some people have tattoos. In modern society, older generations don't see the point of tattoos, they see it as being "unprofessional" or "not appropriate." But to the newer generations we see it as a way to express ourselves.
Tattoos are meant to be shown off not to be hidden from the world. When you get a tattoo, that means you are becoming more original. Tattoos are meant for your happiness and pleasure. If you feel like getting a tattoo will help you deal with someone passing away, then get the tattoo. If the ink on your skin helps you get through a rough time in your life, then don't let the world tell you that it's a dumb idea. When getting a tattoo make sure that you know that it is considered to be art. The artist you pick is going to make a new beautiful art piece on your body and you may or may not think of it as art. You might just think of it as ink on your body, but just know that it is artwork and not just ink. Getting a tattoo means you are making your body less of a blank canvas that it was the day before you got the tattoo. Tattoos give you something to be unique about because the placement you get it and the design you pick are all unique to you and not anyone else.If you decide to get tattoos, please know that they are not a bother to anyone in your life. It’s on YOUR body, not theirs. If you want to get lyrics from your favorite song, then do it. It’s your life and no one should be affected by the ink you put on your body unless it's extremely offensive.
Each tattoo you have should have some meaning to you and it should make you smile every time you look at it. If you have a matching tattoo with someone in your life, then it should have more meaning to you. So despite what people think of your tattoo, think about the meaning behind it and why you got it.
Just because you want a successful job doesn't mean that you can't have tattoos. In modern society, most professions are accepting of tattoos as along as they are classy and not offensive. I should be able to wear my tattoo proud no matter the environment I am in.
Having tattoos make me more confident in my everyday life. When my tattoo is showing in my outfits, I feel like my mood is lifted automatically. I feel happier to show off the beautiful artwork on my body.
Tattoos are more than just ink on your body, each one you have has a story behind it. The story behind it is what makes it more than just ink.
