A tattooed goddess and a football star
They were lovers without hearts
He ignores her at school
But at night they are one
She bashes him in the halls
Yet kisses him in the bed room
They are a strange pairing
Society had told them, they weren't met to be together
They believe this in their minds but their hearts are telling them otherwise
Now don't think they will ever date or marry or anything crazy like that
They will just be that one special moment
The kind of moment you remember for years to come
The kind of moment you wish you followed
You wish you had once more
In years to come they will find someone new
Someone that will excite them at first
But then they will remember the time they spent alone
All the passion they shared
All the smiles and warmth
Wanting to go back to those times once more
But they know it will never happen
They know that if they ever did happen to show their love for one another in a public setting
They would be shunned and deemed as outcasts
There are a few that are in a similar situation who have made it
Who find happiness within one another and shout it from the roof tops for all to hear
But those people see hope in the world
They believe you should love whoever you want
You can be whoever you want to be
But the world is filled with hateful, spiteful, and all around cruel human beings
That will stop at nothing to see the world in front of them burn to ashes
They think that doing this their god will save them and they will rule above all
Both of their parents were like this
The girl’s over baring Roman Catholics
With no desire than to go to church and talk shit about everyone that isn’t like them
And his unwelcoming and unemotional school teachers
But in that moment alone they never thought about how their parents or the general public would act towards them
They only knew that they wanted this little inkling of time would be the happiest time in their lives
He wanted to come out to the world
Yet she was hesitant
She knew her parents’ barley approved of her let alone someone they deemed a “dumb jock”
And his would only see ugliness in her scares and tattoos that hardly covered them
You can’t convince someone who is so unpleased with themselves and humanity that they are beautiful and the world can be a loving and accepting place
Yet you don’t want to show the person who does believe in this beautiful world what you see as truth
She couldn’t tell him that no matter what he does or says, she knew she would never be accepted
But in these moments she could see a glimpse into his perfect life
She could see this so called beautiful and happy world/ life that he would describe to her
But once the moment ended so did this beautiful world
