Things I'd Rather Talk About Than Donald Trump
http://abcnews.go.com/

Last week we found out our new presidential elect is Donald Trump and since this announcement, it seems like it's the topic of everyone's discussion. I'm tired of being asked if minorities should be fearful of Trump, the answer is yes. Yes, minorities fear a racist controlling our country and I'm tired of being asked if I think Trump is a misogynist; the answer is yes. Yes, I think a man who insults, body shames, and talks about "grabbing women by the pussy" is a misogynist. But though I am not a fan of Donald Trump, he is going to be our president, and there's not much can be done about that right now. So for now, I am tired of talking about Trump. Here are 5 things I would rather talk about than Donald Trump.

1. My unofficially, official relationship.

I'd rather talk about this because it makes me happy. It makes me happy because I can talk to my girls about a guy knowing he's not out here making me look stupid. I would rather talk about him because with so much negativity going on around me, he something positive in my life right now.

2. Poverty.

There are people who are living in poverty in this "amazing" country. People who can't afford to put food on their table. People who are about to lose their homes. People who are homeless. I would rather talk about how we can get out and help these people than talk about Trump a man with millions who has no connection with the working class and people living in poverty.

3. School.

I live, breath, and eat school it's something I don't care to discuss with many people because it consumes so much of my life. But I could talk about school all day if it meant I didn't have to discuss Donald Trump.

4. The Holidays.

It's time for the holidays. I love the holidays and I love talking about the holidays because it's just a special time of year. We celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and we bring in the New Year. This time of the year makes me so happy, so the holidays are something I would rather talk about than Trump.

5. The education system.

Oklahoman's voted to put liquor in Walmart but didn't vote to raise the sales tax to give our teachers a raise. I would rather talk about this than Trump because these babies our are future they spend half of their days in school with these teachers who Oklahoman's didn't even care enough about to raise the sales tax by a penny. Lets talk about this not Trump.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
