It's that time of year when you instantly melt when you walk outside. When you can't walk barefoot without getting third degree burns. A time when air conditioners work tirelessly and the sun feels like its only 10 feet away. It's a time of pure survival, so here are some tips that can hopefully help you do just that.
1. Constantly carry water with you or some other cold drink
Hydration is important when you sweat out all of the water in your body, in pretty much record time during this heat. Keep yourself hydrated, cool and hopefully sane during these extreme temperatures.
2. Spend your days in a body of water
Whether it's a pool, the ocean or literally any other body of water you can find. It could be a puddle, whatever works! Even the water has heated up but at least we can be sure it's a few degrees cooler.
3. Eat ice cream and lots of it
You don't have to ask me twice. Ice cream is a sweet way to cool off this summer. You can even resort to what this kid did and rub it all over.
4. Move to Heard Island, Antartica and build yourself an igloo
Really the only way to ensure you stay cool this summer. Temperatures in Heard Island this time of year are in the 30s. A house made of ice sure sounds nice right about now.
5. Tape ice packs to your body
I have yet to try this tactic but what could be wrong with it? Desperate times call for desperate measures.
6. Buy 100 of those handheld misting fans
I remember having one of these when I was younger and I don't know what I was thinking when I let it go.
Hopefully you'll use these methods or find your own ways to stay cool this summer. Stay safe and have a happy summer!
