As the first few weeks of August have flown by it becomes clear that school will be starting soon. Before you worry about moving in, back to school shopping, or ordering your textbooks, here are some things to do before summer is officially over. Sometimes we forget about the people and things we will miss during the year, so plan your time wisely!
1. Binge Watch at Least 1 Show
There are only a few weeks left in the summer. Sure you can binge watch TV anytime, but only in the summer you can do so without guilt. No papers, readings or assignments can hold you back! Choose a show that needs your undivided attention that cannot be squeezed in-between classes and meal times.
2. Visit Your Favorite Hometown Eatery (or eateries)
Soon you won’t be able to grab that amazing slice of pizza or super tasty ice cream down the street from your home. Make sure to get all of your food fixes in before you go back to meal plans and restaurant chain food.
3. Visit Relatives/Friends
The school year flies by and many times it becomes hard to leave on the weekends to visit all of your loved ones. Take time this summer to visit those you’ll be missing throughout the year. All of the support and encouragement will help you buckle down and inspire you when things get overwhelming.
4. Midnight Drives with the Windows Down
Whether you are out for a late night Wawa run or simply do not want to go home just yet, make sure to put the windows down and cruise to your favorite tunes. Fall nights will soon be too chilly for this activity. And honestly, when do you get a chance to aimlessly drive around during the year?
While it is great to think about your upcoming busy school year, the truth is it will be here sooner than you actually would like. Don’t forget to take time to see the important people in your life as well as to do the things that are best enjoyed in the summer months.
