Summertime is a great time to show off all the latest trends and fashionable articles you've been collecting over the past couple of months. I think that there are some very essential items every gal needs in her summer wardrobe. The key to summer clothing is to be cute, comfortable and cool. It's always miserable wearing heavy clothes that make you want to strip, but the key is to find clothes that are lightweight! Here are just a few items that are staples in your summer wardrobe!

1. Sundress

The summertime is a great time to wear cool clothing that gives your body room to breathe. Whether it's a lightweight maxi dress or a strapless dress, this is a definite staple in a summer wardrobe.

2. Lightweight Shirts

I personally love wearing tanks that are flowy and vibrant in color. The brighter the color, the more "summer-esque" your closet will become! Old Navy has very inexpensive clothing that is super cute and very affordable, all while being fashion forward and vibrant!

3. Sandals

A super cute pair of sandals in the summer add the perfect touch to any outfit. You can pretty much buy a cute pair of sandals anywhere you go, but Target has some really good ones. (And let's not forget to mention, they're always a sale going on for shoes!)

4. Sunglasses

It's super important to remember to protect your eyes during the summer. To finish off a really cute summer look, a nice pair of sunglasses with put on the finishing touches!

5. Bathing Suit

Of course, a cute bathing suit is a necessity in the summer time! For me, Target is a great place to buy some super cute bathing suits that flatter ever body type! From one-pieces to strappy bikinis, a solid bathing will do you no wrong.

6. Lightweight Shorts

The less weight on you, the better. You can find shorts in all different styles and materials in almost any store. Forever 21 has great shorts that are cute and trendy no matter what style.

In the summertime, it's important to stay cool and comfortable while sporting your new looks for everyone to see. Vibrant colors and lightweight clothing is the way to go!
