This past year was a big one for a lot of people my age; freshman year of college. Living on your own for the first time, meeting all new people and being presented with an entirely new way of living. I could go one forever. In short, I want to continue to try new and unusual things, you should too.
Spontaneous Car Trips
Have you ever heard someone say, “Sometimes the best things in life are unplanned”? Take a car trip to the beach one day. Grab your friends, a bathing suit, towel and some sunblock, you’ll be set!
Get A Job
Even though we have a little more than three months off from school, we shouldn’t completely forget a hardworking mind set.
Drive-In Movie
Go To The Park
The summer is all about enjoying the warm, beautiful weather. You could even take your dog or a group of friends with you and have a game of Frisbee.
Disney Movie Night
Grab all your classic Disney movies, order some take out and snuggle up with your favorite blankets with a group of your friends.
Learn A New Recipe
Rather than just making a sandwich every night, learn to make something on your own. Pinterest has recipes that are easy to follow and will teach you how to become a chef in no time!
Watch Fireworks
Make A Stranger Smile
Leave a positive note on their windshield, smile at someone as you pass them, or even something as simple as holding the door. Do something for others.
Volunteer At Your Local Pet Shelter
With the free time that you have this summer break, donate your time to the shelter closest to you. The best part is: you get to spend your day with cats and dogs at no expense. You get to leave knowing you did something worthwhile that day.
Do Something That Scares You.
Go on a ride on the boardwalk that you refuse to go on. Tell that person how you feel about them.
This summer should be all about going out of your comfort zone. We have done so many things on our own this past year, why stop there?
