Sitting at the library, trying to find a good song to study to that won't distract you from dancing or singing the words out loud is sometimes a daunting task. Whether you like country or hip-hop music, here is a list for a way to have you stay focused while at the library, but not fall asleep.
1. "7 Years" by Lukas Graham: While it is featured on the Top Hits playlist, it has a catchy beat and lyrics that is peaceful enough to keep you entertained.
2. "Champagne Year" by St. Vincent: With an inviting background beat, it leads to a great story overall to listen to.
3. "Speeding Cars" by Imogen Heap: One of my favorite songs that can be totally be relatable for college students. Feeling super bored and not motivated, read the lyrics and you'll fall in love even more.
4. "Glow" by Donavon Frankenreiter: An upbeat tune to the playlist that isn't as sappy as the others. Definitely makes you feel good inside while drowning in homework.
5. "If Only" by David Matthews Band: Known for its upbeat music, this one slows down the pace enough to listen to without jamming out at the library too much.
6. "Big Jet Plane" by Angus & Julia Stone: Anything by this dynamic duo is perfect for studying, but this was the first song I discovered by them. "Big Jet Plane" has a different feel than most songs, making it very catchy.
7. "Poison & Wine" by The Civil Wars: Not much to say for this song besides listen to it and you'll love as much as I do.
8. "Isacriot" by Walk the Moon: Walk the Moon, categorized as a rock band, slows it down in this song. This song cannot be for everyone, but give it a few tries and you'll learn to enjoy the slow beats, compared to their usual fast tracks.
9. "The One" by Kodaline: Kodaline is most famous for "All I Want," but my personal favorite by them is this song. You can never go wrong with any song by Kodaline, that's for sure.
10. "Hello" by Conkarah & Rosie Delmah: Sorry Adele, this remix of your song is more my style. Try not to get too into the reggae cover, but enjoy the updated beat.
11. "Like Real People Do" by Hozier: Known for "Take Me to Church," Hozier is an Irish musician with a fabulous variety of music, including this one.
12. "Twenty-Something" by Noah Gundersen: Anything by Gundersen is a perfect song for studying; especially Twenty-Something. Twenty Something is a song redone by some, and is also well done by Judah & The Lion.
13. Paperweight by Joshua Radin: From the movie, "Dear John," this jam can be an easy listen for the ears.
14. "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins: Country music lovers will appreciate this addition to the playlist. Even if the lyrics are sad, this song can be relatable as time slips through our hands as busy college students.
15. "I Took A Pill In Ibiza" by Mike Poser: For the electronic fans, listen to the non-edited version. You can still sing the lyrics but not have all the electronic features that are in the Seeb Remix.
