Siblings can be some of the best and worst things in your life. Every only child wishes they had a sibling, but they don't realize how lucky they are or all the struggles that come with having siblings. Here are just some of the many struggles you may face if you have brothers or sisters:

1. They think all of your stuff is theirs.

Don’t you just love finding all of your lost clothes in your siblings rooms? I know I do!

2. There is a constant battle for everything.

You always have to fight to watch your favorite show, fight for shower time in the morning, and even have to fight for the last leftover slice of pizza in the fridge.

3. When you hit your sibling and they start crying, you have to bribe them so they won’t tell your mom.

I may be guilty of this…

4. Getting told 24/7 how much you look alike.

Yes we get it. We have the same parents which probably means we are supposed to look a little similar.

5. Getting called by your siblings names.

“Cameron, Mariah, Kelsey….whatever your name is!”

6. Recording embarrassing things that they do and putting it on your snap story or vice versa.

It is all fun and games until you are the one being recorded.

7. When your mom puts you in charge when she is gone and your siblings don't listen to you whatsoever.

“You aren’t the boss of me!”

“Yes I am, Mom put me in charge! I will call her if you don't start listening.”

8. Having to break the news to your siblings that they are actually adopted.

I think every sibling has said this once or twice in their life.

9. When you find out your mom took your other siblings out to eat without you…

10. When your siblings come into your room and don’t shut the door on the way out.

11. When they get picked on by someone and you actually have to stand up for them because you are the only one that’s allowed to do that.

12. Having to babysit your siblings and be their taxis so your mom doesn’t have to pay someone else to do it.

13. Trying not to laugh when your sibling gets in trouble for something you actually did.

14. When you sign onto Netflix and see this screen because your siblings are watching Netflix too.

This has to be the worst

15. Even though they are complete pain in the butts, you still have to love them anyways and be there for them.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
