Most of us have experienced that feeling of loneliness and dread late at night. It’s the time when no one is texting you, you might’ve just gotten out of a relationship or you might’ve been single for a while, maybe you just started your first year of college or maybe you’ve been out of college for years. Whatever the reason may be...we all have experienced the all too common feeling of loneliness at 2am that traps you. The loneliness that causes your demons to come out to play and you begin to feel rather small. You can trick yourself into thinking that you will never find happiness, sleep or success. Reminder: None of this is true, no matter how real it might feel in that moment.
Here are 3 reasons why you are stronger than those lonely nights.
1.You are (most likely) handling this night alone. You areable to be your own hero.
Sometimes at 2am you cannot find someone to talk to that will help distract you from the lonely night but you have yourself and you are able to provide yourself with the right tools to get through the evening.
2. It's a temporary thing, it won't last forever
The dreadful feeling that you are feeling will not last forever. You are not going to be alone forever and you are not actually alone right now. You have people that love and care about you even if your brain is convincing you otherwise.
3. You’ve made it to the next morning.
You did not let your demons win. Whether or not you were able to tackle them and actually get some rest is okay because you have made it to the next morning. You are still alive, breathing and you are worthy of having a good day.
Feeling alone is inevitable at times and it is impossible to say that they will ever go away, they won't and that's okay. You are equipped and ready to handle them every step of the way.
