As if this month couldn't be more stressful enough!
As my first semester of college comes to a close, the deadline for papers and power point presentation comes creeping up the door. To add the cherry on top, finals week is coming up and pretty soon I'll be getting ready to review two months worth of work. It isn't all bad. Two of my classes are online and I'm not stressing about my history final because of the history nerd I am.
The only real thing I'm stressing about is getting all of my papers in and finishing the semester on a good note. Not that I'm doing bad in any of my classes, but I do want to pick my grades up just a little bit. Also, I have to buy presents for a secret Santa that my friends and I are doing before finals week, so I'm counting on Black Friday to be my "money friend" for the day.
But even with all of the stress, it is so worth it. I try not to get stressed as much but when I do have those moments I have a stress ball that I use while listening to music. Besides all of the stress, I am looking forward to seeing my friends and family back home for Thanksgiving. If you're ever in a situation where you feel like you're overworking yourself, just remember to take some time out for yourself, even if the reality of that is not possible.
The one thing you want to prevent is for yourself to burn out, which can have negative effects in the long run. I would also recommend getting a good night's sleep, which will be beneficial to you and your body. Whether you are the type of person that is prone to stress or not, stress is a normal human feeling that we can all overcome if we put our minds to it. I hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving and don't forget to finish the semester with a bang!
