I don't know about the rest of you, but I have been freaking out about final exams for the last week. All the research papers, studying, and tests hit me like a giant wave. Let's just say it resulted in me drinking way too much coffee and binge watching "The Office" on Netflix.
When I finally sat down to write my article this week, the only thing on my mind was finals. Then, I realized that there's no way I could be the only person struggling to keep up with all these assignments and trying their best not to procrastinate.
So, hopefully you can also relate to these gifs and the seemingly never ending stress of college.
Trying not to wait until the last minute
Procrastination is like the plague in college: It spreads quickly and sometimes it seems as if there is no way to cure it, but hang in there. Turn off Netflix, put your phone on silent, and open those books. The sooner you get things done, the sooner you can go back to doing nothing.
Staying up all night
I think we can all agree that 24 hours in a day is simply not enough, so that means we have to pretend we are nocturnal and stay up all night trying to write a single essay. That also means that the next day, we will drown ourselves in coffee, wear our sweatpants proudly to class, and take a long nap when school is over.
Crying
Admit it, at some point you've cried over your enormous workload. We've all been there and there's nothing wrong with letting tears out. College isn't all fun and games and eventually we all crack. Just remember that you'll get everything done and the anxiety won't last forever.
Eating more than you ever thought you could
Stress eating is very common and it is definitely one of the ways to cope with the mountain of homework that stands before you. Food is there to make you feel better, one Dorito at a time.
Contemplating dropping out of college
Okay, so this one might seem a little extreme. Come on though, don't try to tell me you haven't searched "high paying jobs to get without college degree" or "famous people who never went to college" on Google at least once.
Realizing you're not the only one who is struggling
Yes, this is exactly how I felt when I realized that everyone is having a hard time with final exams and the end of the semester. On the bright side, Christmas is less than a month away!
