In any friendship, new and old, there are some memories and moments that you just have to be there for; no matter how you try and tell the story it just doesn't have the same appeal or effect it had when you were in the moment.

However, I'm going to try my best and describe to you the story of how my friends, Eric and Lizzie, and I got stranded on the side of the road and how through the chaos that ensued, it ended up bringing us closer together than we thought it would.

I'll preface the story by saying that Eric, Lizzie and I have been friends for about 2 years; we met in college and have been close ever since. Although we tend to get on each other's nerves a lot, more than each of us would like to admit, we always manage to have a good time whenever we're together.

One weekend, Eric invited me and Lizzie to go to a 5SOS concert. Although Lizzie was a bigger fan than I was, the tickets were $10 and I figured it would be fun to see a concert since I hadn't been to one in a long time. We also planned on staying at Eric's house that night and planned to drive back to campus Saturday afternoon.

The concert was such a fun time, the three of us and some other friends of ours all had a blast and were able to let loose and blow off some stress from the previous week.

The next morning, we all packed our stuff and loaded Eric's car up. Side note: this was in September, so it was still pretty warm out. I just kept on my pajamas because it was only a 45 minute drive or so back to campus. Lizzie, Eric and I all piled in the car and went on our merry way with the windows up and the AC blasting.

As the journey back to campus continued, we had started to blast some music and sing to it with whatever voice we had left from the previous night. In the midst of my solo however, the car began to shake and make this horrible rattling noise. I looked over to my friend, Eric, and he gave me the same look of confusion.

We continued on driving, not thinking much of it, until the noise and shakiness happened again. I suggested we pull over and check what happened, and Eric did so to inspect what it was.

As Lizzie and I waited in the car, Eric checked under the hood and didn't seem to find anything out of the ordinary. As he rejoined us, he put his keys into the ignition only to discover that the car wouldn't start. He tried over and over again and Lizzie and I began to nervously laugh.

At this point, we assumed that maybe the car overheated, so we decided to just wait it out for 10 minutes or so before trying again.

We tried to restart it again, and again, and again, and yet again with still no hope, and now the three of us began to get nervous.

Eric decided the best thing to do was to call his family, because you can always depend on family to help you when you're stuck right? Nope. Eric called his mom, dad, and two brothers multiple times and none of them picked up. To the next resort, we decided to call AAA to have someone take a help us figure out what we should do.

As Eric is on hold with AAA and cars are zooming past us, a roadside assistance vehicle pulls up next to us, asking if we need help. Before Lizzie and I could even answer him, Eric waved the guy on saying that we had it covered. You can probably assume that at this point things started to get heated between the three of us.

As AAA told us that we could expect assistance in the next hour. In the end, this brought us all closer together. Who would've thought?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
