Life is hectic. Everyday throws curve balls and we are left with no options other than to “make lemonade.” That’s the problem with our day to day activities, even when life throws lemons we don’t stop to breathe.

Step back, relax, and just breathe. We get so caught up in what is going on in our lives that we forget to stop and enjoy the life around us. We forget to just breathe.

Jeremiah 2:25

"Slow down. Take a deep breath. What's the hurry? Why wear yourself out?”

We don’t take the time to breathe. We just through life and get so caught up that we often times stray away from God. Our lives being more important than time spent with him.

Day to day activity seems normal to us now. Wake up go to class, do homework, or wake up, go to work for eight hours then go home to your families. It’s a routine that most of us are so used to that when something happens we panic! We don’t know how to handle it.

Many obstacles can cause us to have weary hearts and panic. For me this semester it has been simple things such as car trouble, physical pains, and friendships. I have cried more than I like to admit and felt defeated.

But my God has calmed me everytime.

John 16:33

“I have told you this so that through me you may have peace. In the world you’ll have trouble, but be courageous—I’ve overcome the world!”

He is with me always and it gives me the peace of mind to keep fighting the day. Life is always going to try to break you. Sometimes it will, but God is always there to help you back up. Life is hard, but don’t run from it. Let God help you up and have peace that there is always someone in your corner.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
