We are only given one life to live and it is too precious to waste holding grudges or being hostile. Instead, we need to accept what is beyond our control, stop caring about how other people are spending their time, and most importantly make ourselves happy. Life is so much better when we let go of our bitterness and just live; just let things be what they are and stop making them out to be something they are not. Stop being bitter and start being better starting with these three things:
Stop Being Bitter Towards The World
Simply stop finding the negative aspects of all things. Stop dwelling on the things that you have no control over and accept the things that you cannot change. Yes, bad things happen but you cannot let that affect you. Deal with whatever is in front of you and move on from it. Don’t let what is occurring in the world decrease how you value your life.
Stop Being Bitter Towards Other People
Honestly, what is the point? It takes so much effort to find reasons to be bitter towards someone when you could just accept your differences and move on. Stop wasting time on the people who have wronged you. Forgive them, forget about it, and move on. Stop wasting your energy envying other people. Just because you don’t have what someone else does, does not make what you have any less incredible. Be happy for those who achieve great things. You are judged more by what you say about others than what others say about you so be kind.
Stop Being Bitter Towards Yourself
I truly believe this is the most important thing to be aware of. Appreciate yourself, not just your physical qualities but your mental qualities as well. Appreciate your talents and understand that no one is good at everything. Your talents make you unique and wonderful. Appreciate your mind and your intellect. Appreciate your body, every scar and imperfection. Know that there is no standard to which you have to live up to. Make yourself happy and love yourself uncondintionally. Don’t cause yourself unnecessary stress by picking and pointing out all of your “flaws”. You are a work of art, don’t ever forget it.
