Two major events will be going down this September. One, I’ll already be in the swing of my senior year of college. And two, the hilarious show that is "Broad City" will be coming back with their fourth season on September 13th. With those two circling in the same time frame, I figured why not let Ilana and Abbi express what it’s like going into your senior year of college. It’ll give us seniors more time to sip on our big cup of denial.
1. You’ve been hearing “Are you excited about your senior year?!” since last semester ended.
Does my face scream excited? I mean, it definitely screams something.
2. The “Are you excited?!” question is usually followed up by the panic-inducing “So, what are you going to do after you graduate?!”
Dude, I don’t know. I barely know what I’m doing in the next 30 minutes.
3. The slightly nervous feeling you felt before each semester is dormant.
Not even poking it with a stick will bring it back. You know this ol’ song and dance all too well by now.
4. You don’t even bother checking your professors on Rate My Professors at this point.
Sometimes professors are chill and sometimes professors are strict. Life is like that sometimes.
5. You procrastinate on getting books and supplies.
Shoutout to Amazon Prime for supporting last minute orders.
6. That little voice in your head that tells you you’re going to dress better and improve your studying skills has already checked out.
7. You already hear other seniors talking about job hunting.
Impressed, but also extremely stressed.
8. With how long you’ve known your advisor, you’re gonna roll up into their office like…
9. There’s always that one family member that will say “I can’t believe you’re a senior.”
You’re not the only one.
10. Reminding yourself that you have to apply for graduation has you like…
11. Hearing “Are you going to get your Masters after you graduate?”
12. You quickly realize everyone is going to handle their senior year differently.
You have your excited seniors, your already super nostalgic seniors, your scared seniors, and your in denial seniors. It’s quite the family.13. You can practically feel Senioritis breathing down your neck.
Give us at least a week of feeling motivated, man.
14. Despite how in denial you are, you’re not going to let Senioritis get the best of you.
I mean, you’ve gotten this far! That’s pretty amazing in the grand scheme of it all.
