It's the most wonderful time of the year - Red Cup Season at Starbucks!!!!! The revealing of the red cups and the bringing back of the drinks that fill us with Holiday cheer is just another sign the Christmas is right around the corner! With so many drinks to choose from, here's a list of them ranked from best to worst!
1. Caramel Brûlée Latte
Warm caramel scent, a warm caramel coffee taste, and those fun little caramel hard bits that make me smile every time I drink it are a combo that makes this the best of the Holiday drinks!
2. Peppermint Mocha
This drink is definitely the one that reminds me most of christmas! It's like a warm candy cane that gives your coffee a christmas boost! It also comes in a skinny version, with the Tall Skinny Peppermint Mocha having only 130 calories per cup!
3. Chestnut Praline Latte
Chestnuts roasting in a coffee cup, what more could you ask for in a Christmas drink? If made correctly, its absolutely great! If not made correctly, it's a little more chestnut than coffee, which can be hit or miss depending on your preference.
4. Gingerbread Latte
This latte gives you the right amount of coffee with a gingerbread spice to it! Very holiday, very good.
5. Toffee Nut Latte
Compared to the Chestnut, its not near as Christmas. If you like a lot of nutty flavor, this one is for you. Not my personal preference, but it is worthy of being a holiday drink.
6. Christmas Cookie Latte
If you like your coffee sweet and sugary, this one is for you! To me, it tastes literally like a Christmas cookie smoothie with a little bit of coffee, great is a sugar rush is needed, but get too big of a cup and a belly ache will accompany it soon.
7. Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate
I personally prefer a normal hot chocolate, or perhaps one with just the almond added. The honey gives it a strange taste to me, but to each his own!
8. Eggnog Latte
Once again, I'm not a fan of eggnog, and mixing it with coffee is even weirder to me! To some, its the best drink they have, but I'll stick to my normal coffee. (:
