In lieu of the upcoming 2016 presidential election, it is of no surprise that I will emphasize how important it is for everyone that is 18 and older to vote. Yes, we hear that every election is crucial and there is so much truth in that statement, especially for this year's presidential election. We cannot allow such a misogynistic, sexist, ignorant and racist individual become commander in chief of this nation. There is so much that we are risking. We have a white man that will regress this nation back many decades with his racist ideologies and discriminatory plans. Donald Trump is an unfit person to run a nation that needs unity, innovative solutions, peace, and transformative effective strategies for our nation to progress, while working on a path of liberation for people of color. The U.S needs to focus on fighting for a better judicial, healthcare, educational, and economic system, to name a few. With that said, Trump is unqualified and unfit to lead our nation into true progress and transformation.
The last thing we need to do is ignore our obligation, our responsibility as citizens of this country, which is to vote for a president that will rightfully lead this nation. On Tuesday, November 8th, 2016, let your actions speak louder than your words. Take action! Go vote for a presidential candidate that has experience in implementing effective solutions and working for diverse people of color from various economic backgrounds. I'm appalled that as a society we have allowed such a racist ignorant sexist misogynistic individual become a candidate for the presidency. I am completely embarrassed and disgusted with that man and all that comes out of his mouth. Please folks, it's time to exercise our right to vote and let our actions speak volumes. May we take a stand to vote in this election because Trump cannot be president! Let's vote for a person that has a strong political stance to improve this nation while continuing to lead America in the road to change.
There is no way that we can allow a man that wants to build a massive wall to send Mexican people back to their homeland win the presidency when they have risked their lives for better opportunities for their loved ones by coming to America. I am a Mexican woman of color that is determined to voice my opinion to fight for equality and justice for people of color. Trump has been very clear and vulgar in his stance on immigration, women, people of color, and diverse perspectives. He will only support the agenda of white, wealthy, racist people. Trump's plan revolves around deporting families, eliminating programs that support women and people of color, while not having a blueprint or concrete plan to change America.
We cannot allow families to be separated and continue to live in fear of deportation when they are working hard to provide for their family. May we use this situation as a lesson to continue our fight for freedom and justice for people of color.
I will be voting for Hilary Clinton, a woman that has experience, knowledge, and the capacity to be the commander in chief, the president of the United States. Hilary plans on improving the immigration policies to allow families to stay together. She plans on improving the educational system in America, while providing affordable health care for economically disadvantaged diverse people. I will continue to fight for equity, diversity, and peace for all people. I refuse to stay silent. I refuse to let this ignorant individual win because he cannot lead this nation. I will exercise my right to vote, and my freedom of speech as I am writing this piece in a state of urgency, state of responsibility, and state of justice. So, make sure to do your research on the political candidates and go out to vote on November 8th! It is vital to the future of the United States of America.
This nation needs prayers and peace, but we also need to take action by voting. There is no way Trump is remotely fit or capable of being commander in chief with his ignorance and inexperience. As a woman of color, his insults for my Latino community, women, people of color, and immigrants will not be forgotten. However, I would be failing my family, my Latino community, immigrants, women, and people of color if I voted for that man, which I'm not going to do. We have to exercise our right to vote. There is no one that can convince me that Trump should be president. With that being said, if any of my friends are voting for him, that is a personal attack towards who I am, my community, and what I stand for.
